• How do I get from Proserpine Airport (PPP) to Airlie Beach?

  Easy! The Whitsunday Coast Airport is located just outside of Airlie Beach in a town called Proserpine. There are limited taxis and no Uber available from the airport, so shuttle bus is the way to go! Hop on the Heart of Reef Shuttle buses directly outside the arrivals gate and get into town quick and easy. You can either:

  • Pre-book online before you fly (to guarantee your spot)
  • Or find us at the shuttle desk inside the airport when you land (depending on availability).

  We have a bus dedicated to each flight, so once all our passengers are on board, we’ll head off and drop you right at your hotel, accommodation or private address. Want to skip the stops? Ask us about private transfers.

• How long does it take to get from Proserpine Airport to Airlie Beach?

  The Whitsunday Coast Airport (Proserpine) is about a 35-minute drive into Airlie Beach town centre.

  We have buses dedicated to every flight, so if your plane is delayed, we wait for you. If something else unexpected happens along the way, give us a quick call and we’ll do our best to accommodate.

• What happens if there’s an accident or road delay?

  Safety is our top priority. If there’s a traffic incident or road closure, we will assess the safest, fastest alternative route and keep you updated every step of the way.

• Do you offer private transfers?

• Do you provide group and family transport?

  Yes — from large family groups to corporate teams, we can arrange shuttles (shared or private transfers) that fit everyone comfortably. We can also store prams, luggage, or sports gear so you can travel hands-free.

• Do you provide child seats?

  Safety is our top priority. Any child under the age of 5 years must be in a car seat for their ride. We can provide a car seat ahead of time for a small cost of $5 per seat, each way.
